Roman chamomile is a perennial plant with white blooms, while German chamomile is an annual plant with blue flowers. Bisabolol, the main element in chamomile oil, has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities. Camphor, flavonoids, and terpenoids are chemical compounds found in chamomile oil. This plant is probably familiar to you as the main ingredient in bedtime tea, and you’re not the only one: More than a million cups of chamomile tea are drunk daily. Why so popular? Its tiny flowers contain terpenoids and flavonoids, unique chemical elements that can help with everything from allergies and insomnia to wounds and PMS.
Chamomile essential oil is used in many creams, soaps, and perfumes because it helps soothe sensitive skin. Also, it’s gentle enough for children to use. Try it out the next time you have an upset young child.
We know how important it is to exfoliate, but that doesn’t mean we do it enough. But if you make this wonderful scrub, you’ll soon look forward to your weekly cleaning routine. Rose petals are full of malic and citric acids that eliminate dead skin cells and make room for new, healthy ones. Chamomile soothes skin that is red or itchy. Rose essential oil can help remove redness and fill fine lines.
Step 1: Put the old-fashioned oats, dried rose petals, and chamomile in a coffee grinder and pulse until the mixture is finely ground.
Step 2: Put the mixture in a container that can be sealed, like a small glass jar. Mix the powdered milk and rose essential oil together.
Step 3: To use, make a paste by combining one teaspoon of the dry mixture with water, honey, or yogurt. After washing your face, put it on as a mask and scrub it off with a circular motion after 10 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse your face with warm water, then use a toner and a lotion to finish. Keep everything protected and dry. Within six months, use.
Try this mask at home to eliminate fine lines and mild heat. Honey, a humectant that brings back moisture, and chamomile work together to calm irritation. Green tea’s vitamins fight free radicals, and the egg tightens and tones fine lines. Use a mask that can be used more than once, or make your own out of tissues.
Step 1: Brew one cup (240mL) of green tea and let it cool fully. Pour 60 mL, or 1/4 cup, into a small bowl.
Step 2: Add the egg white and honey and whip with a fork until the egg white foams up. Then, stir in the essential oil of Roman chamomile.
Step 3: Carefully tear each of the two-ply sheets in half. Soak three of the pieces in the bowl until the liquid soaks into them. (They’ll get a little smaller.)
Step 4: Put the three paper strips on your face in a stack. Let them sit for 15 minutes so that your skin can absorb the ingredients.
Step 5: Take off the pieces of the mask and wash your face with warm water.
Getting kids happy about bath time can be challenging, but bubbles are always a good way to do it. This bubble bath is easy to make and won’t hurt sensitive skin. Then, add essential oil of Roman chamomile and vanilla extract to calm your kids and yourself down and prepare for sleep.
Step 1: Mix liquid dish soap, pure water, and vegetable glycerin in a measuring cup with a pouring spout. (The glycerin helps stop the soap from drying out your skin. You can change your favorite carrier oil if you prefer.)
Step 2: Mix in the essential oil of Roman chamomile and the vanilla extract. Stir slowly to blend. You shouldn’t make too many bubbles just yet.
Step 3: Put the liquid in your bottle made of plastic. (You can use glass, but storing it in the bathroom, where things can get slippery, is best done with plastic.)
Step 4: To use, squirt about two tablespoons under running water and stir to make bubbles. (It won’t make a lot of foam like the stuff you can buy.) Use in less than six months
